I started my journey towards appraising in 2019, along side my mother, General Certified Appraiser Sabrina Rorick at The Efird Corporation. She suggested I become a Trainee to work along side her. Taking her advice I began my courses at Central Piedmont Community College, student of Chris Johnson MAI, SRA, AI-GRS, ASA. It was the joy and passion my colleagues and mentors had that drew me further into my flourishing career.
While working at The Efird Corporation, I completed my courses amidst the pandemic and became a Trainee Appraiser in September 2020. My mother was diagnosed with a terminal illness that month. Despite our news, we worked each day alongside each other on inspections and reports. She filled my days and nights with every ounce of knowledge and skill she had learned in her 20+ years of appraising. My mother passed in April 2021. Having lost my mentor, I began working underneath the supervision of Certified Appraiser David McGonagle. After several months I was able to complete my experience and educational requirements. March of 2022, I passed the NC State Exam, and officially became a Licensed Residential Appraiser.
I started Rorick Appraisal Service in honor of my mother, who dreamt of a female owned and operated appraisal company. I thoroughly love my career, and the people in my life that have made it possible. As a young female in the appraisal industry, I am committed to revolutionize and inspire the appraisal industry for young adults and minorities alike.
Born and raised in Charlotte, NC, I’ve lived in several areas you may be familiar with such as Starmount, Montclaire, Pineville, Statesville, Monroe, Providence, Steele Creek, Lake Wylie, Sugar Creek, Tuckasegee and more.
Extensive knowledge of the area, lifetime relationships with my peers, and my infatuation for knowledge, are all part of what makes me a successful appraiser.
